The Veach Company – Artwork Requirements Many Veach customers wish to submit their own artwork for dies. Artwork is necessary to make dies or engravings which are put on Quick Change (QC) slides, Logo Plates, and Deep Faced Dies for use on Veach hot foil stamping machines. The following are guidelines for preparing your artwork in a manner that will yield high quality dies. Faxed artwork is NOT
ACCEPTABLE for making dies. Artwork Submitted on
Paper Ø Black artwork on white medium (half tones or shading will not work for making dies) Ø A PMT (Photo Mechanical Transfer) or an original laser printed image on coated laser paper at a resolution of at least 600 dpi. Please do not use cheap copier paper. Coated paper will yield a much sharper image. Ø Please make the artwork the exact size you wish your die to be. If you are requesting several different die sizes from the same artwork, please re-size and reprint for each separate die. They may be printed on one sheet, just allow 1 inch spacing around each separate piece. Ø If you are scanning your own artwork please do so at 600 dpi or greater. Ø Mail the complete artwork with no folds or creases through the black areas. Artwork Submitted
Electronically Ø A PC .Tif or .Jpg image of at least 1200 dpi at 100% of the size you wish for your finished engraving. If you are requesting multiple engravings, please submit artwork for each one.
